Lakers star defies doubters and issues a warning to the Nuggets

As the Los Angeles Lakers prepare to play Game 5 of their first-round series against the Denver Nuggets, it's literally make-or-break time. The Lakers, trailing 3-1 in the series, are trying to send it back to Los Angeles for Game 6, which would give them a shot at accomplishing a feat never before accomplished by an NBA team: winning a series after dropping the first three games.

And when the Lakers come to Ball Arena for the fifth game of this series, one of their best players says they are a team to be reckoned with. In sports, momentum may be deadly, because droughts exist only to end one day.

.It will not be a simple task, considering that the Lakers' victory in Game 4 was their first over the Nuggets in 12 games. Lakers guard Austin Reaves stated his teammates were "ready for the challenge" of sending the reigning champions packing before to Game 5 on Monday night.

"(The) odds aren't stacked in our favor, but anytime we can keep ourselves floating above water, we have an opportunity to go do something special," Reaves stated.
